In the field of cinematography and screenwriting, it is recommended to limit the characters’ speech and let the actions, conversations, and scenes speak for themselves. But if there is an exception, it is called Dexter! From the very beginning, I was drawn to the character of Dexter – a dark, introverted man. The strength of the character development was obvious, supported by a successful cast and an engaging, crime-filled story.
Seasons 1 and 2 stood out and received a commendable rating of 9/10
However, the quality of the show began to decline later. The introduction of new characters and exaggerated drama weighed down the once classic series. Despite my love for the character, I felt a gradual decline in its charm, including Debra’s. The writing and direction were solid, but Dexter alone was the high point, as the dark humor he portrayed remained a standout aspect.
However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons are a must-watch and should not be missed
His storytelling throughout the episodes was a unique perspective in which we learned how he perceives things, people and crime; it was absolutely riveting. I recommend this series, but I encourage viewers to watch it at their own pace and choose the number of seasons.
