A grieving therapist starts telling his clients exactly what he thinks
By ignoring his education and ethics, he makes huge changes in people’s lives—including his own. The cast of ‘Shrinking’ share the defining moments of their characters in Season 1 and reveal who made the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they landed Harrison Ford for the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition people who were similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least take it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been offered the project and that other big-name actors were interested.
The acting was great
Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and convinced him to do the part. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was overjoyed nonetheless.. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique storyline.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character embraces their imperfections, shows vulnerability, and uses humor to grow spiritually. “Shrinking” is full of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, slightly funny moments, cute moments, and laugh out loud moments. I hope they continue to make additional seasons because the character development deserves it. NO.
But neither are any of us
I think the overuse of profanity takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are trying to force the show to be edgy. Personally, I don’t think it was necessary. That’s why I gave it an 8.
