Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” and more stars from a galaxy far, far away
Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that Neel’s younger siblings attend is the same one seen by Chewbacca’s family in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) Included in the Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear. (2022).
Then came episode two: if you include the flashback and credits, it’s less than 25 minutes
I think the series is great so far, but there is one problem that really bothers me: the running time. When I saw the first episode I was so happy that it was about 40 minutes long. If I get 25 minutes of the show every week, I’ll have to watch what happened the week before last.
And to the actors: my goodness, they’re kids
Once you can no longer get lost in the universe and become friends with it, it’s over. Incredibly unsatisfying! I probably won’t watch it for months, and I’ll try to avoid all spoilers so I can watch it next year.
You can tell they haven’t had years of acting training
Still, the leads are likable, the music is good, and the action isn’t particularly kid-friendly. After two episodes, I’m excited to see what happens next, but unfortunately I won’t find out until next year.
