Installing & Activating Devs Accounting

WordPress gives multiple ways to install plugins. We will show you the most common ways to install Devs Accounting.

Install via Plugin Search

The easiest way to install Devs Accounting is through the WordPress Dashboard. Follow these steps:

  • Access Plugins Section: Log in to your WordPress Dashboard. Navigate to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
  • Search for the Plugin: In the search box, type Devs Accounting and press Enter.
  • Install the Plugin: Once the plugin appears in the search results, click Install Now.

Activate the Plugin

After installation, click Activate to enable the plugin on your site.

Install by Uploading a ZIP File

  • Download the Plugin: The plugin’s ZIP file is from the official source or marketplace.
  • Upload the Plugin: In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
  • Choose the ZIP File: Click Choose File, locate the downloaded ZIP file on your computer, and select it.
  • Install the Plugin: Click Install Now to upload and install the plugin.

Activate the Plugin

After installation, click Activate to enable the plugin on your site.

Usage

1. Access the Dashboard

Go to DevsAccounting from your WordPress admin menu.

  • The dashboard gives you an overview of your financial data.

2. Settings Configuration

Go to the Settings tab to configure:

  • Company name & address
  • Public pages (like invoice view)
  • Payment methods (Stripe, PayPal, Paddle)

3. Add Categories

Navigate to Categories to add categories for:

  • Items
  • Incomes
  • Expenses
    This helps with better organization and reporting.

4. Add Items or Products

Under Items, you can:

  • Add product name, price, category
  • Upload product images
  • Assign tax or meta fields

5. Add Transactions

Go to the Transactions tab to:

  • Add Income or Expense
  • Assign categories and accounts

6. Create Invoices

Navigate to Invoices and click Add Invoice to:

  • Select customer and items
  • Apply taxes and discounts
  • Send or download invoices

7. View Reports

Go to the Reports section to:

  • Get a visual breakdown of income , revenue, expenses & daily report
  • Filter by year
